Akoya Pearls

Pioneered in Japan, Akoya pearls are renowned for their high luster and transparency of nacre. Cultivated also in parts of China and Vietnam, they range in size from 3mm to 10mm. The primary color is white, including shades of cream, blue/grey-silver, and pink.

There are various quality grades, with Hanadama pearls representing the highest grade, exhibiting superior luster, thickness, shape, and surface. In Japan, Akoya pearl necklaces are a traditional bridal gift and are valued in formal events.

South Sea Pearls

Sourced from large oysters in equatorial waters, South Sea pearls can reach 8mm to 20mm in size. They are known for their variety of colors, including white, silver-white, pinkish-white, yellow, and gold, and have a distinctive thick nacre and deep luster due to their lengthy cultivation period.

Tahitian Pearls

Grown in the black-lipped oysters of French Polynesia, Tahitian pearls range from 7mm to 18mm. Known for their variety of colors, including green, red, and grey tones, these pearls are prized for their unique peacock green color, reminiscent of a peacock's feather.

Freshwater Pearls

Cultivated in lakes and ponds, freshwater pearls are known for their varied shapes due to non-nucleated cultivation. Common shapes include oval, rice, potato, drop, stick, and baroque, with a wide range of colors, especially pastel shades like white, purple, orange, pink, and rose.
